“Never stop dreaming—dreams come true if you visualize and believe in them.”
Paul Cuba is a delivery driver with Amazon, where he has worked for nearly three years. Originally from Peru, Paul describes himself as an adventurer and a dreamer, someone who values experiences and relationships more than material possessions. He has lived alone in Florida for several years, but continues to support and stay closely connected to his family abroad, who remain his strongest source of emotional support.
Paul’s journey has not been without challenges. He has endured financial setbacks, marital disappointments, and the difficulties of living far from loved ones, yet he carries with him a resilient spirit. He is passionate about travel, red sunsets, the ocean, and giving back through volunteer work—having previously built homes in Argentina and Chile. For Paul, life is a journey of discovery, and he strives to help others along the way.
When he found out he was accepted into Habitat’s homeownership program, Paul was overwhelmed with joy. He remembers crying tears of happiness in his car, knowing it was the result of years of sacrifice and perseverance. For him, this home represents far more than just walls and a roof—it is a symbol of stability, dignity, and the chance to finally root himself in a place of his own.
Looking to the future, Paul envisions his Habitat home as a sanctuary filled with peace, harmony, and love. He dreams of creating a space where he can live comfortably, welcome others, and reflect on how far he has come. As he puts it, “Never stop dreaming—dreams come true if you visualize and believe in them.” If you would like to help make homeownership dreams come true for individuals like Paul and other families in our community, please visit our Volunteer Page to learn how you can get involved.
