Xzavier Johnson and Cierra Champagne are parents to 3 vibrant kids. Xzavier works at Haynor’s Garden Design. Cierra Champagne is a Director at The Sprout Academy, where she has worked for seven years. Her career in early childhood education reflects her passion for helping children grow and thrive, and she brings that same commitment to her own family.
Cierra’s family of five is close-knit and full of energy. Cameron, 12, and Aaliyah, 10, love playing Roblox and spending time outdoors, while little Xzavier Jr., just 1 year old, is happiest playing with his toy cars and anything that rolls. Cierra shares that their bond is rooted in laughter and togetherness. “We always find a way to have fun as a family,” she says. Whether heading to the park, riding bikes, or working on puzzles at home, they turn everyday moments into special memories. Family game nights and neighborhood walks are some of their favorite ways to connect, proving that for them, home is wherever they are together.
Cierra and Xzavier’s journey has not been without challenges. For years, their family has lived in an overcrowded home where the children share rooms and space is limited. Rising rent costs and safety concerns in their current neighborhood have added stress, making the dream of a secure home even more important. Cierra explains. “Rent is constantly going up.” These struggles have made it difficult to plan for the future, but Cierra has remained determined to give her children the stability they deserve.
When the couple learned they were accepted into the Habitat program, they felt overwhelming excitement and gratitude. “We are building because we want a stable place for our children to grow up in with their own space,” Cierra says. They looks forward to the day their kids can enjoy their own rooms and the family can come together in a space that truly belongs to them. Most of all, they imagine a future filled with laughter, milestones, and the comfort of knowing they have a forever home.
