Congratulations and welcome home to our 1,000th homeowner, Shauntee Copeland! This morning, we celebrated this milestone dedication in Lealman, surrounded by sponsors, volunteers, staff, family and friends, and community supporters of Habitat. Shauntee and her son Xavier now have a safe and affordable place to call their new home.
Special thank you to Tony and Carol Griffith for being the presenting sponsor of this home and for their many years of continuous support. Thank you to all of the 80+ sponsors who donated funds towards this home. This momentous day would not have been possible without the support of our community.
Solar Bear and Roof Bear once again provided the roof and solar panels on this home, which will help to lower the Copeland Family’s electric bills significantly. Thank you for your generosity!
Thank you to Clearwater Jolley Trolley for being our transportation partner this morning, as well as the Feathersound Chick-fil-a, Clean Eatz Kitchen, and Drip Addiction Coffee Co. for being our food and beverage partners.
Thank you to the many elected officials who came out to support this morning. Including but not limited to Representative Lindsay Cross, Representative Kimberly Berfield, Pinellas County Commissioner Chair Brian Scott, Pinellas County School Board Member Caprice Edmond, St. Pete Mayor Kenneth Welch, St. Petersburg City Council Member Deborah Figgs-Sanders, City of Clearwater Mayor Bruce Rector, and representatives from the office of State Representative Linda Chaney.
Finally, we would like to thank the community partners who provide welcome gifts to the family: Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce with Kids Pedal Power, Feeding Tampa Bay, GFWC ST PETERSBURG JUNIOR WOMANS CLUB INC, and DITEK.
