One of Pinellas County’s highest priorities is assuring we have enough affordable housing. Pinellas County Government is currently working on a comprehensive strategy to provide more of those opportunities for our residents. One way that we are doing so is by partnering with municipalities and community organizations. One successful program is the County’s long-standing partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties. The Pinellas County Commission and Habitat continue to address this need by collaborating to create affordable housing opportunities in proud and thriving communities. Recent and ongoing efforts in the unincorporated areas of Ridgecrest and Dansville highlight the success of the partnership. On February 13th, Habitat for Humanity will dedicate the completion of its 600th home in Pinellas County.
