Homeowner Bio: THE XHOKLI FAMILY

“I am building because I want a safe, stable place to call home.”

Ganimete Xhokli is a dedicated professional who has built her life around hard work, perseverance, and a deep appreciation for opportunity. Originally from Kosovo, Ganimete immigrated to the United States in 1999 and was raised in Safety Harbor, Florida. She graduated from Countryside High School and went on to earn her Associate of Arts degree from St. Petersburg College. For the past 12 years, she has worked at Nielsen, where she now serves as a Panel Relation Specialist Lead, developing valuable skills and a strong commitment to long‑term stability and growth.

Ganimete’s journey reflects resilience and determination. Growing up between cultures and adapting to a new country shaped her perspective and strengthened her appreciation for community and belonging. She takes pride in building a steady career and setting meaningful goals for herself, always focused on creating a future rooted in independence and security. Homeownership has long been part of that vision.

Currently, Ganimete lives with her father and siblings in a small, overcrowded home. With limited space and privacy, daily life can be challenging, making it difficult to fully focus on her future goals. She shares that having a home of her own would ease stress and provide the stability she has worked so hard to achieve. When she learned she was accepted into the Habitat for Humanity program, she felt overwhelming excitement and gratitude.

“A Habitat home will give me the stability and security I need to finally build the future I’ve been working toward,” Ganimete says. For her, homeownership represents more than four walls—it represents independence, peace of mind, and a fresh start.
