“We are building because we want to provide a better life for our kids.”
Parents Tyshawnna and Andre are proud to raise their sons in an environment filled with encouragement and family time. Tyshawnna Wesley works as an Endocrinology Representative at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, where she has been dedicated for the past three years. She and her husband, Andre, are the proud parents of four energetic boys: Chayse (11), Avion (8), Ashton (8), and Adrian (7). Together, the Wesleys are on the path to homeownership through the Habitat for Humanity program.
The boys keep family life lively and full of personality. Avion, Ashton, and Adrian are passionate about sports, playing everything from football and basketball to soccer and swimming. They also love challenging each other in video games. Chayse has a creative spirit and enjoys science projects, cooking, art, and drawing cartoon characters, often filling notebooks with his creations. As parents, Tyshawnna and Andre love to travel and spend quality time together, creating memories with their children.
For years, the family has struggled with overcrowded and inadequate housing. As their children grow, the lack of space has become even more challenging, and concerns about safety, ventilation, and health have worsened their situation. “Our children deserve a space where they can grow up feeling safe, secure, and with the room to express themselves,” Tyshawnna explains. For the Wesleys, a Habitat home represents more than just walls and a roof—it is the foundation for a brighter, healthier future for their family.
For the Wesley Family, a Habitat home means stability, opportunity, and peace of mind. It will be a place where their sons can thrive, grow, and dream without limits. As Tyshawnna shares, “I am building because I want to provide a better life for my kids—a place to grow, heal, and thrive.”
