Homeowner Bio: THE EDMONDS FAMILY

“Habitat for Humanity is a life changing program in every aspect where you will not only improve yourself, your life, your family surroundings but others as well.”

Adam Edmonds has built a life rooted in hard work, curiosity, and connection. He balances two roles, working as a Key Account Manager at Airgas and a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market. His path has taken him from Chicago to Asia and eventually to Florida. Whether he’s playing beach volleyball, sharing a perfectly timed dad joke, or sporting one of his many themed Hawaiian shirts, Adam brings humor and heart into everything he does.

Family, for Adam, is defined by loyalty and presence. His closest companion is his 14-year-old blind Asian dog, Chubby Chewbacca Chen, who is happiest sleeping, enjoying her favorite treats, or wandering the apartment by his side. While Adam doesn’t have relatives nearby, his friends have become his chosen family, filling his life with support, laughter, and belonging. He’s also grateful for his girlfriend, whose encouragement and legendary pancakes make even busy days feel grounded.

For years, Adam rented without the ability to put down permanent roots. Constantly moving and living in spaces that never truly felt like home left him wanting more stability and room to grow. As someone planning to stay in the area long term, he longed for a place where he could invest in his future.

Being accepted into the Habitat program was both surprising and deeply meaningful for Adam. The experience has been challenging and transformative, giving him a renewed sense of purpose. It’s a clean slate, a permanent home, and a community built by people who want to be there. Adam believes deeply in giving back and sees this home as a reflection of that belief.
