“For the first time in my life, I will have a place to truly call home.”
Chrissy and Daniel Booth are a devoted couple whose story is one of resilience and growth. Chrissy works as a Parent Aide Coordinator at Ready For Life, where she supports families and children navigating challenging seasons. Daniel is a Pool Restoration Technician at Sims Pool Upgrades. Their path together has not always been easy, but 11 years ago they found a new direction rooted in healing, growth, and building the kind of life they always dreamed of. Today, everything they do is centered on giving their two boys the stability, love, and sense of home that they themselves never had growing up.
Dakota, 10, and Austin, 3, are the reason Chrissy and Daniel push forward every single day. Dakota loves playing outside with his little brother, video games, and has recently become interested in baseball. Austin is a bundle of energy who would live outside if he could. He begs to go to the beach almost daily, loves any kind of physical activity. For years, the family has navigated the uncertainty of the rental market while dreaming of a home to truly call their own.
When Chrissy and Daniel learned they were accepted into the Habitat program, they were shocked and overjoyed. “We couldn’t sleep that night out of all the excitement,” Chrissy shares. Along with the joy came a profound sense of relief, knowing the fears of renting were finally behind them. For the Booths, this home represents more than four walls. It represents breaking generational cycles, building equity, and creating a legacy for their children and future grandchildren. “For the first time in my life, I will have a place to truly call home,” Chrissy shares. “My house will be a place where dreams awaken, where my sons’ friends can come for a meal or fun, a safe haven for my children, and most importantly, a place filled with love.”
