ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Martin Gramatica and members of his family teamed up with Habitat for Humanity on Wednesday to work on building a new home in St. Petersburg.
The future homeowner, Priscilla Reed, was also there to oversee the construction.
“I’m getting my home now. It’s going to be a special feeling to open that door and say, ‘I’m home now.’”
Reed served in the army for 10 years but ended up homeless after COVID and has struggled to find an affordable place to live since then.
