Donor Highlight: Crowe

On Friday, November 19th, the team from Crowe LLP joined Habitat on the build sites. Crowe is a public accounting, consulting, and technology firm in the US with offices across the world. With a priority on community stewardship, the team is well versed in the non-profit world and was eager to build a home for a local family.

The Crowe team participated in a landscaping day in Tellor Estates, home (or future home) to 75 homeowners in the Habitat program. Finishing touches were put on the Quarterman house, which will be dedicated in a few short weeks. “My life is going to be so much more light, I have been carrying so many burdens from apartment to apartment growing up in the forever changing environments but a house will provide a clear mind and a safe space,” says Da’jua Quarterman.

“Habitat for Humanity is making a huge difference, helping their partners – our neighbors – who otherwise may not have an opportunity for homeownership. Crowe is always excited to team up with Habitat and give back to the community in such a rewarding way,” said Shukeana Prince of Crowe. “We had a great time landscaping with Habitat! We were fortunate enough to also participate in the home dedication of a different local family as they received the keys to their new home. A home is a safe haven where special bonds and memories are built with family and friends. Crowe is grateful to be able to share these special moments with families in our local community.”

Habitat is grateful for not only the hours put in, but for the generous donation from the company that will go towards building more safe and affordable homes in our community. With support from our volunteers and corporate partners, Habitat is projected to be able to serve over 210 families in the next three years.
