“I’m building because the future of our family will be secure.”
Jade Farmer is a dedicated mother, educator, and lifelong learner who is focused on creating a stable, nurturing future for her growing family. She works as a Teacher Assistant with Pinellas County Schools, a role that reflects her passion for supporting children’s development both in and out of the classroom.
Jade and her husband, William, are raising a close‑knit family that values time together and shared experiences. Their son, Lucas, 7, loves reading, exploring robotics, and learning about the natural world. Liliana, 5, is energetic and imaginative—she enjoys tumbling, running, and make‑believe play. As a family, they spend weekends visiting parks, beaches, aquariums, and museums, soaking in the history and culture of Florida. With a new baby arriving soon, their household is filled with anticipation, excitement, and hope for the future.
While Pinellas County offers many wonderful opportunities, the high cost of housing has made it difficult for Jade and William to find an affordable home that meets their family’s needs. As their family continues to grow, the lack of adequate and stable housing has become a pressing concern. Jade shares that the financial burden of housing has often created stress and uncertainty, making it challenging to plan long‑term. When they learned they were accepted into the Habitat for Humanity program, they were overwhelmed with joy and disbelief at the opportunity.
For the family, a Habitat home represents peace of mind and the chance to truly settle into family life. “I’m building because the future of our family will be secure,” she says. The couple looks forward to bringing their new baby home to a place that is safe, stable, and truly theirs. More than anything, the family imagines a home where their children can grow, learn, and flourish together.
