“We are building a future rooted in stability, love, and hope.”
Stacey Tessier is a Processing Manager at Medicaid Done Right, where she has worked for nearly three years ensuring families receive the support and services they need. Stacey is the proud mother of three children who each bring something special to their family. Juliana, 18, is mature and thoughtful, growing into a confident young adult with big dreams. Mason, 13, is energetic, caring, and fiercely loyal, and a protective spirit. Isabella, 11, is sweet and imaginative, known for her creativity. As a family, they enjoy simple moments together like trips to the beach and park, bowling outings, and cozy family movie nights.
For years, housing instability has been a constant challenge. Rising rent, overcrowded spaces, and long standing maintenance issues made it difficult for Stacey to provide the kind of home her children deserved. As her children grew into their teenage and preteen years, the lack of space became emotionally and practically overwhelming.
When Stacey learned she had been accepted into the Habitat program, she felt disbelief followed by deep gratitude. “It felt like a weight I had been carrying for so long was finally lifting,” she recalls. “I immediately thought of my kids and what this would mean for their future. It wasn’t just about a house. It was about building something permanent for them.” More than anything, Stacey felt proud that her perseverance was leading her family toward stability.
With a Habitat home, Stacey imagines peace of mind and possibility. No more fear of rent increases or sudden moves. Instead, a safe place where her children can grow, do homework, celebrate holidays, and build memories that last a lifetime. “Just knowing it’s ours, a space built with love and hard work, means everything,” she says. “It’s about building hope, stability, and a future,” she shares. As she looks ahead to this new chapter, Stacey feels hopeful, grateful, and ready. “I’m not just building a house. I’m building security, opportunity, and a foundation my children can stand on for the rest of their lives.”
