Homeowner bio: The Love Family

“I cried and thanked God for this opportunity. I didn’t think it was possible for me.”

Ahliayha Love is a Licensed Practical Nurse at Abundant Life Homecare, where she brings compassion and dedication to every client she serves. Ahliayha has worked in the medical field since 2014, starting her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant for ten years before attending ATA Career Education to earn her LPN license. As a single mother, she is driven by the desire to build a stable and loving life for her two children. “They made me who I am today, and I thank God for placing them in my life,” she says.

Ahliayha is raising two little ones who fill her days with joy. A’Mora, 6, is creative and full of personality. She loves doing her own makeup, polishing her nails, playing with her Barbies and styling their hair, and helping her mom cook. She also enjoys gymnastics, tumbling, swimming, reading, and is trying cheerleading this summer. Braedyn, 3, is a true mama’s boy with a big love for sports, especially basketball and football. He’s adventurous and curious, always ready for nature walks, trips to the park, and anything Spiderman.

For years, Ahliayha has faced challenges with safety, privacy, and rent that keeps increasing. She has been renting apartments since she was 18, and the constant increases have made it difficult to balance everything on her own. Through it all, she has held on to her dream of homeownership, determined to give her children a space where they can grow up feeling safe and secure.

When Ahliayha learned she was accepted into the Habitat program at the Sandhill groundbreaking ceremony, she was overwhelmed with emotion. “I cried and thanked God for this opportunity,” she recalls. “I didn’t think it was possible for me.” A Habitat home represents stability, comfort, and a fresh start for her family. She looks forward to a place they can truly call home, where her children can grow and build memories together. For Ahliayha, home is where the heart is, and she is not giving up on her dream of a better and brighter future for her family.
