Building Dreams Together: Women Build 2025 Wraps Up with Annika Sörenstam and Mika Kleinschmidt

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside recently celebrated the fourth and final day of its 2025 Women Build, and what a finale it was! Two powerhouse women—golf legend Annika Sörenstam and HGTV’s 100 Day Dream Home co-host Mika Kleinschmidt—joined forces with female leaders from across the Tampa Bay region to make a lasting impact on a local family’s future.

Women Build is more than just a construction project—it’s a movement. Designed to empower women and unite community leaders, this initiative allows participants to roll up their sleeves and help build safe, affordable homes for families in need. Similar to our popular CEO Build, Women Build offers exclusive build days for individuals and organizations to participate as a Leader, Duo, or Corporate Partner, creating a unique space for collaboration and purpose-driven networking.

This year’s build focused on helping Kristen Mims, a hardworking mother, achieve her dream of homeownership. For Kristen and her family, this home represents stability, security, and a brighter future.

Annika Sörenstam shared her heartfelt perspective on the experience:
“I have always appreciated the work of Habitat for Humanity, and am humbled to be just a small part of a larger initiative of female leaders here in Tampa Bay helping to build a forever home for Kristen and her family. Giving back is at the heart of everything we do, and I’m honored to be a part of this wonderful cause.”

Mika Kleinschmidt echoed that sentiment, emphasizing the deep connection between home and heart:“Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside has not only been a wonderful partner for 100 Day Dream Home, but for the entire community. This is truly where ‘heart meets home,’ and I am proud to be part of any project.”

From swinging hammers to sharing stories, the day was filled with energy, inspiration, and a shared commitment to making a difference. Women Build is proof that when women come together, incredible things happen—not just for one family, but for the entire community.
