Habitat to Welcome Four Hernando County Leaders to Board of Directors

Clearwater, FL – Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside is proud to announce the addition of four new members to its Board of Directors. These four individuals lead organizations in Hernando County. They will be tasked with representing Habitat at events, helping Habitat form new relationships in the community, and attracting new homeowner candidates to apply for the homeownership program. 
“Habitat is thrilled to welcome these four community leaders to our Board of Directors,” said Mike Sutton, president and CEO of Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside. “They will serve as great representatives in the community, particularly in Hernando County. We look forward to creating long-lasting relationships in Hernando and the region. We know these four Board members will aid in our future success.”

New Member Bios

Bobby Ginn, Jr.
Senior Vice President, TGH
President, TGH Brooksville & TGH Spring Hill

Bobby Ginn, Jr. is the Senior Vice President and President of TGH Brooksville and TGH Spring Hill, formerly Bravera Health Brooksville and Bravera Health Spring Hill, two 120-plus bed acute care hospitals serving the residents of Hernando County and part of TGH North and the Tampa General Hospital health system. He previously served as the interim Chief Executive Officer of Bravera Health Brooksville and Bravera Health Spring Hill until TGH’s acquisition of Bravera Health at the end of November 2023.

In his current role, Ginn is responsible for providing operational direction and oversight of the TGH Brooksville and TGH Spring Hill leadership team and collaborating with the hospital team members and physicians and TGH North and TGH leadership to achieve financial, patient care, quality and strategic goals.

From 2004 to 2023, Ginn worked in several leadership roles for Community Health System (CHS), the parent company of Bravera Health. From 2010 to 2023, he served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Alabama, a 180-licensed bed, for-profit acute care facility with 1,100 team members. Prior to that, Ginn was the Chief Executive Officer for L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital, a 72-licensed bed, for-profit acute care facility with 180 team members in Greenville, Alabama. Before joining CHS, Ginn worked for the Baptist Healthcare System

Ginn holds a Bachelor of Science in biology, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in healthcare administration from the University of Alabama Birmingham. He is the past Board Chairman for the National Children Advocacy Center and currently serves on several national and regional community and professional service organizations.

Ginn has been married to his wife, Paras, for nearly a quarter century, and he is the proud father to two children.

 

Ashley Hofecker
President & CEO, Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce

Ashley Hofecker is a self-motivated, resourceful community advocate and leader who is passionate about connecting, creating, and collaborating. She is a demonstrated professional with vast experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. With a servant-heart and business mind, Ashley is skilled in relationship building, mobilizing resources, generating revenue, and managing competing demands.

Ashley currently serves as the chief executive officer of the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce where she is responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of strategies for the purposes of advocacy, training, marketing, networking, and building strong collaborative partnerships.

When Ashley isn’t working, she enjoys volunteering in her community, traveling, spending time with friends and family, engaging with young leaders, participating in professional development groups, and she’ll never pass up an opportunity to pet a dog!

 

Mika Rotunda
Realtor, Heart of Florida Realty

Born and raised in Brooksville, Florida, Mika Rotunda is a dynamic professional with a background in media and real estate. With years of experience in broadcasting and content creation, Mika has developed a unique ability to connect with her audience, community and customers. After spending ten years in Pinellas County, Mika and her growing family moved back to continue to instill the next generation of roots in her hometown, while raising babies of her own.

Her passion for people and the desire to empower others, translates seamlessly into her real estate career. Where she helps clients navigate the buying and selling process with clarity and confidence. Combining her media expertise and real estate knowledge, Mika offers a personalized approach to marketing properties, making her a trusted partner in the industry. She and her mother, Stephanie are a dynamic real estate team, devoted to making dreams of home ownership come true!

 

Ken Wicker
Chief Executive Officer, HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital

Ken joined HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital as CEO on April 25, 2022. Ken rejoined HCA as the CEO of St. Petersburg General Hospital on May 4, 2020. Prior to St. Petersburg General Hospital, Ken served as the CEO for Bayfront Health-Brooksville. He comes to HCA with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare administration.

Accomplishments during his career include service line growth, medical staff development and recruitment, strategic planning, and patient and caregiver satisfaction improvements.

Prior to joining HMA/CHS, Ken served as CEO of River Park Hospital, a Capella Healthcare facility in McMinnville, Tennessee and numerous HCA Healthcare hospitals including Vice President /Chief Operating Officer for Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Chief Operating Officer for Ocala Regional Medical Center, and Associate Administrator for Fairview Park Hospital.

Ken earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance from the University of South Carolina and his Master in Business Administration and Master in Health Sciences from the University of Florida. He has been active in the Brooksville Rotary Club, Board of Hernando Progress, Relay for Life Hospital Chairman, and the Champions Club Advisory Council.
